Now Open For Business
If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I have an obsession with cupcakes. To me, cupcakes are instant happiness. How can you be mad when you see or eat a cupcake? See, they really are a source of happiness. Plus, you don’t feel guilty having two or three cupcakes. On the other hand, having three pieces of cake? That’s a different story…

Looks good enough to eat?
This weekend one of my good friends turned 21 and her family was coming into town to celebrate. She asked me to make birthday cupcakes for her. I was really excited, it was my first request! Usually I just make them without anyone asking. I made two dozen yellow with chocolate icing and mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups on top! Then I made two dozen strawberry cupcakes with a white frosting. They turned out really well, I am happy with the finished product. With that said, I am now taking orders for business!

“Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!”
Two of my biggest blog followers came to Stillwater this weekend, my aunt Lisa and little cousin Allie. They all came down because Austin (my other cousin) took a tour of the OSU campus. He is considering coming here this next fall. After his campus tour we all had lunch at Mexico Joe’s, a Stillwater favorite. Then, they went to the game, so I spent some time with my Aunt. We hit up Starbucks, went to a few shops around town, then went to Louie’s and had a drink. It was a low key evening but much needed in my book.
I have a big exam on Thursday in Ag policy and I am not looking forward to it one bit! I cannot say that I feel any better either, I feel like I am getting a sinus infection or something of that sort. So I am going to try to stay healthy and get plenty of rest when I can.
Hope your week is starting off great!

On Friday’s We Wear Orange
It’s Friday! Hip Hip Horary! At Oklahoma State there is a thing called Orange Friday’s; it gets everyone in the spirit for game day. Personally this is a day that I like, because a large section of my closet is devoted to this wonderful color. I know that orange is not the most fashion forward color but come on people! It just makes me sad when I see people not wearing orange or even worse, someone wearing an OU shirt. Like really, do you have any pride? Just put on an orange shirt, is that too much to ask?

Picture from last year’s OSU vs. Baylor game. This is Myriah, she is my Gbig! She is awesome!
The other thing I really like about orange Friday, it is something that people continue to do even after they graduate. Here are some of my OK state alumni friend’s tweets about orange Friday!
@myriahjohnson: It’s orange Friday in Aggieland! Go Pokes!! #okstate
@chadcline: Rocked the #OKState orange this Friday in Aggieland. #TAMU. Like @jereddavidson did at OU Law today. Great minds think alike!
This week has drained all of my energy and I have no ambition to do anything tonight. I might turn into a hermit crab and not leave my apartment all evening…and you know what? I am perfectly okay with that at this point. I have a feeling that ice cream and brownies will be involved at some point tonight.
Happy Friday!

LIfe is in session
It has been a while since I have last blogged, let me just say that life is in full swing. There have been a lot of exciting things happening in the life of Lindsey. This week I have two tests, one down and one to go! I will be in much better humor on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. (It’s 5 o’clock somewhere….)
I now have two new members in my adeepi family “world domination”. They are Lynna and Ciara and both are darling. I am excited to get to know them better and hang out with them. Also, on Monday it was Kayla’s (my little) Birthday. She turned twenty, so I made her some birthday cupcakes! They were delicious and there are not many remaining.

Speaking of cupcakes, please look at this Coach key fob I added to my collection!

At the 1st football game of the season top left: Kayla then Lynna. bottom left: Ciara and me. How precious!
Football season is one of the best times of the year and it is here! Words cannot describe how happy I am. When there is football there is: fall, nachos, tailgating, orange as far as the eye can see, Pistol Pete, pizza, boots, dresses and FUN! I am ready for it to cool down and feel more like fall. Good news, Starbucks now has the pumpkin spice latte, another personal favorite.

Before the 1st football game: Jenna, Kalya, Eddie, Me and Kritin. This is my gameday posse. They are so much fun!
My little brother Jack (who is 7) got to go on his first hunting trip. He was actually quite enough to get something, I figured he would scare all the deer away. He shot a 10 point buck! I do not think he has been more excited in his whole life.

Look at that little stud muffin!
You can tell it is back to school season because everyone is starting to get sick. I am not a fan of this whole situation because I get sick so easily! I cannot stand it! I think I am starting to come down with something so I am taking proper precautions, taking my daily vitamins and last night I enjoyed some hot tea. That always seems to do the trick if you ask me. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow because I do not have time to be sick…there are more important things on my to-do list at the moment.
Have you had your daily dose of vitamin C?

Physics? Is this real life?
May I just start off with a disclaimer? I am going to rant for a little bit…it has been a rough week. If you would like to humor yourself with my pain, please continue to read.
Let’s talk about my last semester in college, at this point one would think it would be time to relax and put it on curse control. Oh boy is that a big FAT LIE!! My advisor decides to enroll me in a 4000 level soil class (not my strong point to begin with). The class is called Soil, water, weather…it sounds obtainable Right? Well NO! I go into the class; it’s really called soil physics! What are the prerequisites you may ask, one should have taken both physics and calculus…which I have had neither!

On the way to Dr. Week’s office, I get off of the elevator and in a glass case the AGLE interns bio’s are up. I am famous, well at least on the 4th floor of Ag hall. It is not my most flattering picture, but hey I’ll go with it. Feel free to ask for an autograph at anytime…
Let me just say that I am thankful that Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Weeks are my good friends. After a cup of coffee, a long talk, the three of us managed to make something work! I am now in fifteen hours and I am still able to graduate in December! (The crowd goes wild!)
I talked a while back ago about my roommate Crystal and how she has a cute little dog named Munchie. I finally took a good picture of her, and her she is!
It is Friday; the first/last week of college is down in the books as a win. The score: Lindsey-1 Class-0. I am sure this will continue to change as the semester progresses. As for now, I am in the lead and going to try to keep it that way.
It’s Friday! Please take the time to celebrate…maybe sonic happy hour?

First/Last
Today marks my first/last day of my college career. It’s a bittersweet feeling to say the least. I cannot believe that the past three years have gone by so fast. I am not going to live in the past; I am excited and ready for the present and the future!
Guess what? I am now the proud owner of an Iphone 4. Who knew something could be so great? I am already addicted; it might be the best thing ever. I never thought that I would be the one ignoring everyone around me, playing games, and tweeting my life away. I am now “that girl”
Friday was my dad’s birthday so I made the trip home to hang out with the family and go out for birthday dinner. My sister and I attacked the sea food buffet. I think we consumed 6 crab legs each. It was pretty much fantastic. Then, we went to Wal-Mart, purchased Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and the Last Song. It was a girl night all the way.

My mom made a blackberry cobbler for dad’s birthday cake, now you know where my bberry love comes from. See that cute little heart in the middle? Isn’t my mom the best?

With the left over pie crust I sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on them. I call these the crunches; they are great with a cup of coffee in the morning.

Crab domination, check it!
News today, I am unemployed! I have been at an upscale dress shop since my freshman year. I loved working there, however I just feel like I need a new direction. So I went in today and talked to them. Needless to say, I no longer have a job. On the bright side, I will start a new job in a week or so with the State 4-H office and I am really excited about it! It will go more along my schedule and no more working on weekends! AHH! I cannot wait for football season!
Tonight is formal dinner and chapter; it should be an interesting night. I always look forward to catching up with sisters after summer break. I love hearing what everyone has been doing. Also, it’s like a fashion show, there are so many cute dresses and shoes. I am an avid lover of both, so it makes for a good time.
What are your favorite Iphone apps?
